GRACIE AND THEM is a short story collection in process loosely drawn from my experiences growing up in Bruneau, a town of less than one hundred residents in the high-mountain desert of southern Idaho. “Dearest,” a story from the collection published in Clover: A Literary Rag in 2014, is actually set in Clay County, Minnesota, where the Red River marks the borderline with North Dakota.
